Jimmy L. Heien, 81, of Whippany passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. Born in Memphis, Jimmy lived in Arkansas and Caldwell, New Jersey before moving to Whippany 49 years ago. Jimmy was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, who was past vice commandant of the Slattery Detachment Marine Corps League, as well as Board member of the Marines Care Slattery Detachment #206, Whippany. He attended Jacksonville Chapel in Lincoln Park. He worked for IBM in Fairfield for over 38 years before retiring. Predeceased by his wife Dagmar, and daughter Susan; Jimmy is survived by his son Stephen; two half brothers, Robert and David Hinck; and companion Iris Hascup. There will be a visitation on Friday December 1, 2017 at Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd, Whippany from 3pm until the service begins at 7pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jimmy may be made to the Marines Care Slattery Detachment, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Diabetes Association.
