Jean P. Grady (nee Peggs), 92, a resident of Union, NJ, passed peacefully on September 13, 2017. Born and raised in Watertown, NY. She is a 1947 graduate of Syracuse University and received her Master’s in Education at New York University. Jean lived in Union for 44 years. She was a teacher at St. Michael’s School in Union for 15 years. After teaching she was an Office Administrator for Fred S. James Insurance in Springfield, NJ, retiring 15 years ago. Jean is survived by her husband William Grady, Jr., her children, Jan & Larry Miciak, William III, & Doreen, Lisa & Jim Wadams, Brian & Kathy, 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Claire, Sarah, Kelsey, Jaime, Maya & Olivia. She is pre-deceased by her two siblings, sister Eleanor Peggs and brother George Peggs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park. Visiting, Tuesday, 3 to 7 pm at the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. Union.
