~~Jane Thomas, 87, of Brooklyn passed away on April 16, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave in Chatham, NJ on Thursday, April 20th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery in Madison. Friends are invited to visit at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St, in Chatham on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm.
Born in Manhattan, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Brennan) Herbert, Jane was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. She continued to live in Brooklyn for many years before moving to North Bergen four years ago. A homemaker, she was a long time parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua in Brooklyn. Jane enjoyed playing bingo and visiting New York City.
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Thomas. She was the mother of Christopher Thomas and his wife Adeline, Patricia Herrmann and her husband Jerry, Alexander Thomas and his wife Grace and the late Michael Thomas. She is also survived by her 7 cherished grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and her dear sister Marie Woods and her husband the late Robert Woods. She is predeceased by her sister Kay Curria and her husband the late Joseph Curria.
