Jane K. Karpenski, (nee Kelley), 85, of Long Beach Island, NJ, formerly of Summit, NJ passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012. Born, raised and resided in Summit before moving to Long Beach Island 20 years ago.
Throughout her life Jane worked for NJ Bell as a phone operator, a crossing guard for the town of Summit, an executive secretary for Kemper Insurance and a bus driver for Summit Connection for the Summit Senior Citizens. Jane was a member of the Summit Drum & Bugle Corp. She is pre deceased by her husband of 50 years Edward W. Karpenski. Jane is survived by her son Edward G. and his wife Jane E., her daughter Ann Karpenski-Cooke, grandchildren Matthew E. and his wife Susan Lin Karpenski, Robin E. Karpenski, Sarah Cooke, Daniel and his wife Amy Cooke.
