James R. DeCicco, 83, longtime resident of Florham Park, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. James was a member of Operating Engineers Local 825 for many years.
Predeceased by his daughter, Linda; James is survived by his wife Carol; sons Larry and his wife Pat, James and his wife Carol, and Gary; grandchildren Meghan and her husband John, and Joseph DeCicco great granddaughter Kensington; brothers Michael and Peter; and sister Angela Moro.
James served in the US Army in the early 1950’s. He was an avid sports fan and loved baseball the most, especially watching his Mets!
He was a very generous person who always placed everyone ahead of himself. James loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grand-daughter.
He was always happy sharing good memories with his granddaughter Meghan and he enjoyed watching his grandson Joseph’s sport games and never missed an opportunity to cheer him on.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10am at the Wm. A Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. There will be a visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home
