James J. Hartigan, 75 of Florham Park, NJ died on November 23, 2011. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY. James resided in Binghamton, NY, Virginia Beach, VA., and New Jersey. James was a 1958 graduate of Iona College, degree in chemistry and received his Ph.D from Fordham University. He was a research chemist with Agfa Gavaert Co., in West Caldwell, NJ for 10 years before retirement.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Virginia Beach, the American Chemical Society, and a former Usher and Eucharistic Minister with St. Peter’s Church in Parsippany, NJ and St. John’s Church in Virginia Beach, VA. James is pre-deceased by his wife Margaret Hartigan (nee Finn).
He is survived by his children James Hartigan and his wife Christy, Jean Manz and her husband August, Michael Hartigan and his wife Lisa, Eileen Ware and her husband Michael, Laura Agnew and her husband Chris and Thomas Hartigan and his wife Erin, 13 grandchildren, a sister Rosaleen Hoeymans and brother Andrew Hartigan.
