James B. Clark, Jr., 81, of Summit, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Jersey City, Jim moved to Summit in 1965. He was an attorney with Yauch, Peterpaul, Clark and Vitolo in Springfield for 56 years. Over the years, Jim has been a member of the board of Transistor Devices , the Summit Board of Education, and President of the Summit Common Council . He was a loyal alumnus of Notre Dame, who loved spending summers at Shelter Island, sharing time with his beloved grandchildren and presiding over secret family meetings. Predeceased by his first wife, whom he married on September 17, 1960, Patricia (nee: Kelly) Clark, and his son John Kelly Clark; Jim is survived by his wife Bonny, whom he married on October 19, 2012; children James B. Clark III and his wife Patricia, Karen Haberl and her husband Klaus, Kate Olive and her husband Chris, and daughter in law Cindy Clark; grandchildren James B. Clark, IV, Christine Patricia Clark, Jack Haberl, Kelly Haberl, Matthew Clark, Caitlyn Olive and Rebecca Olive. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10am at Christ the King Church, 16 Blue Mill Rd., New Vernon. Cremation will be private. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave., Summit.
