~~Jacqueline R. Seeland, died peacefully on September 14, 2017 in Newburyport, Ma. Jackie was born in June 21, 1929 in Newark, NJ to Helen and John Riley. She was married in 1958 and predeceased by her husband, William J. Seeland in 1963. Jackie graduated from Upsala College with a bachelor’s degree in English, then Rutgers with a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She worked as a school psychologist for the Union Public Schools from 1950 until her retirement in 1996. Jackie remained an active member at Union College where she served on the board, as well as her church Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church.
Jackie leaves behind her sister, Colleen Lewis, of West Newbury and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Connecticut Farms Church.
A Celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, NJ. Please meet at the cemetery office.
