Jacqueline “Jackie” McCabe

~~Jacqueline “Jackie” McCabe, 89, beloved mother and grandmother, of Chatham, NJ passed away at home on Monday, March 13, 2017. Predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Hugh McCabe in 1998, and a daughter Elizabeth in 1965, she was best known for her love of her family and the Jersey Shore, spending more than 50 summers at Barnegat Light in LBI, and for her compassion for her beloved pets. She stayed active daily through her crossing guard position with the School District of the Chathams, and always radiated a spirit of contentment through her honest, authentic personality. Jackie spread her appreciation of the moment with all lucky enough to know her. She will be missed dearly by her sons Stephen (Cindy) McCabe of Warren, NJ, Michael (Nancy) McCabe of Chatham NJ, James (Brenda Eileen) McCabe of Hackettstown NJ, Terry (Kate) McCabe of Chatham, NJ, and daughter Jeanne (David) Howell of Princeton, NJ. “Granny” will be most missed by her grandchildren Amy, Darin, Casey, Andy, Irina, Robin and Sarah. Calling Hours are Friday, March 17, from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral home, 345 Main Street, Chatham NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 85 Washington Ave. in Chatham on Saturday March 18 at 12:30pm. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery.
