Henrietta Palanowich-Loving Mom and Grandma
Henrietta Palanowich, (nee Serra), 94, of Union, NJ, passed peacefully on December 6, 2014. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Henrietta lived in Union for 58 years. She was an Administrative Assistant with Ohio Casualty Insurance in Union, retiring in 1985 after 15 years. She was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, previously belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America, was a former volunteer at the Burnett Middle School and participated in the 1990 Senior Olympics. The only thing she loved more than vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies was her family, especially her grandchildren. Throughout her life she enjoyed dancing, playing cards, word searches, puzzles, dominos, gardening, trips to Atlantic City and Monmouth Racetrack. Henrietta is pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years, Frank Palanowich. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Mello and Joan Krychiw and her husband Steven, and two grandchildren, Jason & Jackie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Union. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
