Helen M Carney

Helen M. Carney, 99, of Chatham, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Born in Newark, NJ, Helen was a long time resident of Chatham. She worked for many years managing the Proof Department at the Chatham Trust Company, retiring in 1983. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, and a member of the Women of Mary/Rosary Society. She also was a Chatham TWIG member and volunteer at Overlook Hospital. Helen was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed music, gardening, and crocheting. She also loved her cigarettes, Hershey kisses, and apple pie. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Frank Klein; her loving husband, Raymond, devoted sons, Raymond and Paul, and siblings Marie, Frank, Julia, John, Dorothy, Lawrence, Eleanor, and Rita. She leaves behind her twin daughters, Judy Carney and soulmate, Jim Hayes, and daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bob Schreiber; daughters-in-law, Regina Carney and Pat Carney; brothers, Robert Klein and Edward Klein, as well as grandchildren, Chris and Stephanie Carney, Sean Carney and Amy Kelly, Bob Carney, Colleen Weaver, Scott and Michele Carney, Matthew Schreiber and Katy Collier, and Michael Schreiber, and great-grandchildren, Katie, Libby, Alexis, Autumn, Sarah, Ethan, and Jasen; many loving nieces and nephews, and devoted caregiver, Elizabeth.
