Helen C. Alpaugh, 103, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Chelsea at Toms River.
Born and raised in Newark, Helen lived several years in Union, and more recently in Springfield. She worked for Prudential in Newark, as a financial accountant for 43 years. As a member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Springfield for over 60 years, Helen taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Springfield Senior Citizen’s Group 3, and the Young at Heart Singing Group of Springfield.
Predeceased by her husband Preston, and sisters Florence Karge and Bessie Kievning, Helen is survived by her nephew Frederick Karge, nieces Carole Zito and Joyce Locknish and their families.
