Harriet A. Cowan, 70, of Madison, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.

Harriet was born on August 23, 1944 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Lillian (nee Wachmann) Tepp.

Harriet was a graduate of Irvington High School. She was a member of the Morristown Presbyterian Church, Morristown, NJ. Harriet worked for PSE&G for 28 years as a supervisor of collections and meter reading and served as the head of the Union for many years. She loved reading, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Harriet is survived by her loving husband, Robert G. Cowan, Jr. of 46 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Melissa Capone and husband Kevin, and was the loving grandmother to Rhys, Lillian, Clare, Regan, and Connor. She is also survived by her cousin Alan Hamerman.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Harriet Cowan to the National Marfan Foundation.
