Giuseppe Salvatore Milelli, 72 of New Vernon, N.J. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his large, loving family, on January 12, 2019.
Born in Magisano, Italy on July 15, 1946 to Antonio and Rosina Milelli, Giuseppe attended Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale in Catanzaro, Italy where he graduated on August 2, 1970 with a focus in mechanical engineering. In May of 1971, he came to the United States, where he worked several jobs simultaneously, to achieve the American Dream. In the evenings, he worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, while during the day he began his own landscaping and masonry company. Over the years, he transitioned into real estate investment and management forming Milelli Realty in 1977, which focused primarily on multi-family and retail properties in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He was a past member of various real estate organizations and his children continue to fulfill their father’s legacy. Giuseppe was proud to sustain the traditions from his homeland, including his beautiful vegetable garden, wine making, and various other Italian delicacies. He also enjoyed travelling the world and visiting his hometown that he admired dearly. He touched so many lives with his wisdom, empathy, compassion and outgoing personality. He was an inspiration to us all and will be profoundly missed.
