George Kolakowski, 66, of Florham Park and Margate, New Jersey passed away on Monday, September 09, 2013 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center with his family at his side.
George was born on April 27, 1947 in Warsaw, Poland. He was the son of Mrs. Stanislwa (nee Grzyb) and the late Mr. Joseph Kolakowski
George was a long-time resident of Union, NJ and owned a vacation home down in Margate, NJ, where he enjoyed vacationing with his family. George and his wife, Vicky resided in Florham Park and Margate, New Jersey. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Irvington, NJ. George was very family oriented and loved his dogs.
In addition to his mother, Stanislwa Kolakowski, he is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Wieslawa “Vicky” Kolakowski. He is also survived by a daughter, Eve Kolakowski of Florham Park, NJ, two brothers; Kasimir and wife Stella Kolakowski of Bayonne, NJ, Stanley and wife Joanie Kolakowski of South Hadley, MA, a sister, Maryanne and husband Richard Ordynowicz of Lodlow, MA, and several nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Kolakowski.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Wm. A. Bradley and Son, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Park, NJ 07932. An interment will follow in St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, P. O. Box 159, Madison, NJ 07940.
