Genevieve L. Taylor “Gene” nee Whitehead, 82, died on Saturday January 21, 2012 at Inglemoore Rehabilitation and Care Center in Livingston, NJ where she was a resident for the past ten years.
She was born in Irvington, NJ and was a long time resident of New Providence, NJ. She worked in a Clerical capacity at Continental Insurance in Livingston. Gene was involved with the Cub Scouts and Brownies during the 60’s. She also loved to play Mrs. Claus during the holiday season for the 1st Marine Division Association and the New Providence Fire Dept. Gene also was a volunteer at the New Providence Senior Center and past parishioner of the New Providence Methodist Church.
Surviving is her husband Harold Taylor. Mother of three; Kenneth, Loretta, and Brian. Grandmother of six and great grandmother of one. Previously deceased are two sons Joseph and Douglas and a brother William Whitehead.
