~~G. Douglas Grainger, “Douglas”, 82, of Madison, passed away at the “Chatham Hill Sub-Acute Care Center on April 14, 2015. Funeral services are private.
Born and raised in Fair Bluff, North Carolina, Douglas moved to New York in 1954 and lived there until moving to Madison with his wife, Luisa, and children, Debra and Dianne, in 1969. He spent his entire career at the Royal Bank of Canada in New York as Manager of Operations for Foreign Exchange Trading, where he met Luisa. He retired in 1988 and spent many happy years in retirement at Lake Gaston, North Carolina, while maintaining his Madison residence. He loved his boats, fishing and golfing. Many happy family memories were made at Lake Gaston.
He was the loving father of Debra Bucuk and Dianne Jackson. He is also survived by their spouses, Thomas Bucuk and Peter Jackson and his cherished grandchildren, Michael Bucuk, and his wife Mindy, Jackie Bucuk, Scott Jackson, Kim Jackson and his nephew Cary Elvington.
