Frank Fell Stetson of Chatham died at King James Care Center on November 14, 2012. He was 97. Born and raised in Orange, he lived in Chatham for over 60 years.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Mary (Barry) and is survived by their children, Jamie Stetson of Lowell, Ma, John B. Stetson of Allentown, NJ and Jeanne and her husband Darrell DiCicco of Cream Ridge NJ; grandchildren, John Stetson Jr. and Hunter DiCicco; and great grandchildren Ryan & Andrew Stetson. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Virginia, and survived by her children, Linda Helm Krapf of Stockton, NJ, Susan Hay of Keene, NH and Richard Helm of Cranford. He is also survived by his sister Anne Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
Frank worked for Marine Midland Bank in New York and later as President of the Chatham Trust Company in Chatham. Active in the community he was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Canoe Brook Country Club. US Navy Veteran of WWII, Frank had attended Rutgers University, Seton Hall and NYU. He loved to play golf and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Monmouth Park. He also bred and raced horses and was a member of the NJ Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
