Frances T. Cebulak

Frances T. Cebulak, of Union, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was 93 years old.

Born and raised in Lansford, Pennsylvania, Frances moved to Jersey City in 1945. She owned and operated Fran’s Knit Shop on Monticello Avenue for several years until she and her husband Joseph moved to Union in 1956.

Frances was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Union. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards, and other games like Yahtzee, Rummy Cubes, and Pokeno.

More than anything, Frances will be remembered as a loving mother and mother-in-law. She was always smiling and loved people, and had a genuinely friendly nature. She loved to sit on her front stoop and watch the world go by.

Frances is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Jakubco; her husband, the late Joseph Cebulak; her two sisters, Sister M. Rosella Jakubco, MSC and Sister M. Frances Jakubco, MSC; and her brother, Joseph Jakubco. Surviving are her sister, Rose Barletta of Hometown, PA; brother, Edward Jakubco and his wife Elaine of Flemington, NJ; brother, Father Bernard Jakubco, MSC of Perry, FL; three beloved children: Carol Cebulak of Union, NJ; Rose Ann Cebulak of Union, NJ; and Michael Cebulak and his wife Frances of Red Bank, NJ; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
