Frances Fiorilli, 81, of Millburn passed away suddenly on September 13th. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave, Short Hills on Monday, September 17th at 11:15 am. Interment is private. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave, Springfield, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.
Born and raised in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, Frances came to the United States with her husband, settling in Millburn in 1953. She was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross in Millburn. A long time parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church, Frances was a member of the Rosary Society, the Life Lighters, and the Madonna dell’Assunta. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Frances will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends as a generous, caring and wise presence in every life she touched.
Frances was the beloved wife of the late Carmine Fiorilli. She was the loving mother of Carmela Frattasi and her husband Joseph, and Rosemarie Fiorilli and her husband Thomas Berglund. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren John Frattasi, and Cara Frattasi and her husband Winn Martin, and great granddaughter Anna Francesca Martin. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frances’ memory may be made to the American Red Cross, Millburn, Short Hills Chapter, 389 Millburn Ave, Millburn, NJ 07041.
