~~Florence Williams, 93, of Springfield passed away on June 2, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima, 50 Short Hills Ave, Short Hills on Friday, June 5th at 10am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave in Springfield on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.
Born and raised in Springfield, Florence had resided in Millburn for over 30 years before returning to Springfield. She had worked as a secretary to the guidance department for Millburn Public Schools and retired from there. Florence enjoyed cooking, baking and travel. She will be fondly remembered for her care and devotion to her family.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late Frank Williams. She was the loving mother of Cynthia Still and her husband Wilfred and Frank Jr, and his wife Michele. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jennifer and Kenneth as well as 7 brothers. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Sage Eldercare.
