Evelyn Marshall, (nee Fexa), 98, of Springfield, NJ, passed peacefully on October 5, 2016. Born in Irvington, resided in Union, Evelyn lived in Springfield for over 50 year. Evelyn was a banker with United Jersey Bank for 40 years, retiring over 25 years ago. A member and former Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield for 64 years. Evelyn was an avid Yankees fan, especially Derek Jeter. She also loved watching gold, especially when Tiger Woods was playing. Evelyn is pre-deceased by her husband, Robert W. Marshall, a former Mayor of Springfield, and her brother, Dr. Robert J. Fexa. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy & her son in law, H. Richard Minette and her son Arthur J. Marshall. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces and great- great nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church, Springfield. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visiting hours, Monday 4 to 7:30 pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
