~~Esther M. Cadmus, 90, of New Providence passed away on January 4, 2017. Visiting Hours will be held at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave in Summit on Friday, January 13th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm with a service at 7pm during the visitation. Born in the Summit, the daughter of Walter and Mabel Smith, Esther had also lived in Springfield before moving to New Providence in 1946. She worked as an Accredited Record Keeper at Overlook Hospital for 30 years. Esther was a longtime and active member of both the New Providence United Methodist Church and the New Providence Seniors Association. She loved attending New Providence High School football games.
Esther was the beloved wife of 46 years to the late William Cadmus, Jr. She was the loving mother of William Cadmus, III and his wife Michele, the late Walter Cadmus and his wife Merry, and Robert Cadmus and his wife Sally. She is also survived by her many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren and her companion and soul mate Byron Wurst. She was the last of the 13 Smith siblings.
