Eleanor M. Madden

Eleanor (Larsen) Madden of Chatham NJ died at Overlook Hospital in Summit on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the age of 96. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she had lived in Chatham for the past eight years.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Madden, and is survived by her daughters, Denise Madden of Middletown NJ, and Jeanine Madden Losito of Chatham NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mark Wallrabe of Middletown NJ, Christopher Wallrabe of Red Bank NJ, and Erica Losito of Chatham NJ, plus great-grandchildren: Alison, Jillian, Brandon, Lauren, Jenna, Marisa & Jason as well as by many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Lars Larsen, Hilde Richards, Astrid Muller and John Henry Larsen.

Eleanor was a draftsman for NY Telephone in Brooklyn. She retired after 36 years of service. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and acted as chairperson of both social activities and charitable activities committees. More recently, she enjoyed participating in Family Services of Morris County Adult Center in Madison, NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Thomas More Church, Convent Rd. and Madison Ave., Convent Station. Family & friends may visit prior to the Mass at 8:30 to 10:30am at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St., Chatham, NJ, 07928.
