Eleanor Gassler, 84, of Brancburg, formerly of Kenilworth and Union, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Summit, Eleanor lived in Union before marrying and settling in Kenilworth. She also lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Branchburg 14 years ago. She was a member of the Swim and Sport Club in Flanders for 42 years. She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading, her puzzle books, and spending time with her yellow lab companion, Lucy, who predeceased her.
Predeceased in 2000 by her husband of 44 years, Rolf W. Gassler, Eleanor is survived by her daughter Lisa Mack and her husband Donald, Jr., son William R. Gassler; and grandchildren Melissa and Michelle Mack, and Benjamin, Jonathan and James Gassler.
