Eleanor B Heath

Eleanor Beach Heath, 81, a resident of both Waldorf, MD and Summerfield, FL passed away peacefully on April 27, 2016 at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C.

Eleanor was born on August 13, 1934 in Rockaway Township, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Marion B. Kiely. In her childhood, she grew up in Mt. Hope and Dover, NJ and later moved to Marlow Heights and Waldorf, MD where she resided with her husband.

Eleanor worked in the banking industry for over 40 years. She started her career as a bank teller and retired as a bank officer with Citibank in Washington, D.C. Eleanor was very active in the Humane Society of Charles County and she also enjoyed arts and crafts with her friends, even creating a small craft business called Berry Patch. She also loved and doted on the St Bernard dogs that she had over the years; Bruno, Sam, and Andy and she kept very fond memories of her trips to her ancestral home of Ireland.

Eleanor was the beloved wife of Philias Heath for 50 years. She was also predeceased by her mother, Marion B. Kiely and her aunt, Luella B. Gula. She is survived by a number of close family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Avenue, Short Hills, NJ 07078. An interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Humane Society of Charles County in Eleanor’s name.
