~~Elaine D. Pierson, 82, of Chatham Boro passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Born and raised in Short Hills, Elaine married James C. Pierson in 1954, and they resided in Chatham. Elaine was a supervisor of transportation and school bus driver as well as a custodial engineer with the Farbrook School in Short Hills for over 18 years. She also worked for the Daily Record Newspaper as a supervisor of paper carriers. She was a devoted fan of the New Jersey Devils. She loved photography, birdwatching, and was an avid reader. She also loved fishing and boating.
Predeceased by her husband James C. Pierson, Sr., and daughter Carol L. Atchison; she is survived by her daughter Pamela Iberer and her husband Thomas of Andover Township, son James C. Pierson, Jr. of Chatham, grandchildren Daniel Iberer, Dawn Walsh, John and Scott Atchison; and great grandchildren Ryan, Colin and Mckayla Iberer and Emma Walsh.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11am at the Wm A Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. There will be a visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chatham Boro Volunteer Fire Department and The Chatham Emergency Squad.
