Edwina L. Muldowney died peacefully on October 3, 2017, her 90th birthday, at Juniper Village of Chatham, where she had lived for 6 years. Edwina was a stay at home mom, long before the term became popular. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence M. and Lorraine M. (Genung) Parker, her husband of 65 years David M. Muldowney, her sisters Elma (Brunson) Atchison, Joan Anderson, Barbara Kalin and Lois O’Connor, and her sister in law Gertrude Muldowney. She will be sadly missed by her sister Nancy Zaros and children David M. Muldowney, Jr., Linda Ciullo, Jeanne Mezger, Barbara McGivney, Paul Muldowney, and Robert Muldowney, along with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In her usual quiet but generous way, Edwina donated her body to the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Anatomical Association for anatomical study and medical research.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 12pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham. A gathering will take place at the funeral home at 11am, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Edwina may be made to The Chatham First Aid Squad.
