Edward J. Makowski

Edward J. Makowski, 67, of Whippany, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Morristown Medical Center following a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 43 years, Linda (Lasalandra) Makowski; his son, Edward Makowski and his wife Marina and their two daughters Izabella and Francesca; sister, Theresa (Makowski) Yuzuik and her husband Robert and their sons Thomas and Robert; brother, John Makowski and his wife Maryand their son Paul.

Born to Edward and Carmella Makowski, Ed was raised in Whippany where he was a lifelong resident. Ed loved spending time first and foremost with his loving family, especially his cherished granddaughters. His hobbies included all manner of sports, fishing, and collecting old memorabilia. He was a member of the first graduating class of Whippany Park in 1969, where he lettered in football and track.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4- 8 pm at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., in Whippany. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday December 14, 10:00 am, Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls with burial to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cedar Knolls Rescue Squad, Whippany and Cedar Knolls Fire Departments are appreciated.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., in Whippany, New Jersey.
Funeral:
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church on Ridgedale Avenue in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey.
Committal:
Interment will take place at Holy Rood Cemetery in Morristown, New Jersey.
Memorial Gifts:
Contributions in memory of Ed may be made to the Whippany Fire Department, and the Cedar Knolls Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
