Dulce Perpetua

Dulce Perpetua, 87, of Union passed away on August 2, 2020.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Saturday, August 8th at 10:15am. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there is limited seating at church and guests must contact the family prior to arriving.   Interment will take place in Portugal.  Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Friday, August 7th from 5 pm to 8pm.

Born in Sopo, Vila Nova DeCerveira, Portugal, the daughter of Manuel and Dulce (Fernandes) Esteves, Dulce came to the United States in the 1950’s and settled in Union with her family.  She worked for many years at JL Hammett in Union.  Dulce enjoyed watching sports but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Dulce was the beloved wife of the late Joao Perpetua.  She is survived by her dear brother Joaquim Esteves, and her niece and caregiver, Tina Mendes as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended relatives.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Dulce’s memory may be made to ALS Association Greater NY Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004.
