Dorothy “Dotty” Ruhrort, (Ryan), 91, of Springfield, NJ, passed peacefully on March 14, 2018. Born and raised in Newark, she resided in Irvington and Springfield. A Member of the Springfield Senior Citizens and a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Church. She was a bookkeeper for Worrell Publications in Union for 32 years, retiring in 1996. Dorothy is pre-deceased by her husband Andrew Ryan the love of her life, whom she married in May, 1949, and her brother, Edward Brzezinski. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy & Mike Caffrey, Ginnie & Richard Huber, beloved grandmother of, Andy, Angela, Ryan & Rachel Huber, Kelly, Kevin & Yukako Caffrey, Rita & Bryan Faundez beloved Babcia of Richie, Reilly, Maya, Reid, Angelina, Ayana & Lucia, aunt of Mary & Jim Liss, & her sister in law, Fran Brzezinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10 am at St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield. Interment St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison. Visiting hours, Sunday, 2 to 8 pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. Springfield.
