Dorothy Lee Ryden, 92, of Summit, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her home.

Dorothy was born on December 2, 1920 in Marietta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wallace and Sara “Sallie” (nee Donahoo) Lee.

Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Marietta High School, Marietta, GA. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club, P.E.O, and Questers. She was a member of The Central Presbyterian Church for fifty years and was a member of the Presbyterian Women, which she served as past president for several years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John V. Ryden of 34 years in 1984. She was the loving mother to three children; son, John K. Ryden and wife, Janet of Boulder, CO, daughter, LeeAnn Ryden of Summit, NJ, and son, Richard Ryden and wife, Kathy of Summit, NJ. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Jack, Dylan, Kallan, Melissa, Darby, and Taryn Ryden. Dorothy was predeceased by three sisters, Lucille Lee Cruise, Katherine Lee Gisel, Janie Lee and a brother, William Lee.

A visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Bradley, Brough, & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit, NJ 07901. A Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Central Presbyterian Church, 70 Maple Street., Summit, NJ 07901. Cremation will be private. In Dorothy’s memory, donations may be sent to Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, Heifer International, and or Amistad Mission.
