Dorothy Frances Martinkovic
Beloved Mother
Dorothy Frances Martinkovic, 83, of Summit, NJ, passed peacefully at her home with her daughter Valerie by her side on June 7, 2015. Born and raised in Plainfield, NJ, Dorothy has lived in Summit since 1981. She was an assistant secretary for the Summit Trust Co., in Summit for over 20 years, retiring in 1998.
Dorothy and her daughter were best friends; they loved going to the Summit Pool, their annual trips to Aruba, and they attended many concerts, from the Three Tenors to U2. Dorothy loved her pets Beamer and Trudy and former pets Mittens and Nutmeg; they brought her much joy. Dorothy loved her sweets, especially ice cream. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Valerie Bampe and her sister Margaret Pasquerello and her husband Dominick. Dorothy is predeceased by her brother Stephen Patrick Martinkovic. She is also survived by a host of extended family and friends. A special thank you to Dorothy’s niece, Lisa Lefano, who has been by her side this past year providing loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Morris Ave, Summit, NJ. An inurnment will be held at St. Teresa Cemetery at a future date. Visiting hours Friday (4-8) at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center.
