Dorothea “Dottie” Foy

Dorothea “Dottie” Foy, 65 of Springfield, formerly of Kenilworth passed away suddenly on December 25, 2017, peacefully at home.

Born in Newark, and raised in Irvington, Dottie lived in Kenilworth for 20 years before moving to Springfield. She loved the Jersey Shore, laying out by the pool, spending time in the sun and vacationing.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dorothy Foy; Dottie is survived by her significant other of 25 years, Albert Demeter; her siblings Elizabeth, Michael and Dennis Foy; her godchild Kelly Ann Foy and several other nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by Albert’s children Angela DeBari, Sharon Demeter, Jo Anne Demeter; his grandchildren Joseph and Christopher and his extended family.

There will be a visitation on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6-9pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union. There will be a service during visiting hours at 7pm.
