Donato Picciuto of Millburn died at Cornell Hall Nursing Home on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was 89.
Donato was born to Michele and Lucia Picciuto in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Provincia, Di Benevento, Italia. He married Concetta (Mercorelli) on July 20, 1946. In 1951, Donato and his family left Italy for Argentina and resided there for 17 years. In 1968, he along with his family immigrated to the United States, arriving first in Boston but settling in Millburn, NJ. He worked for Ciba Geigy and retired in 1985.
Donato leaves his beloved wife of 66 years, Concetta, his daughter Lucia and husband Tony Cirelli, his son Miguel and wife Susan Picciuto and his son Antonio Picciuto. Four grandchildren: Filomena and husband Angelo Vecchione, John Cirelli, Adriana and Michael Picciuto. Four great-grandchildren: Antoinetta, Angelina & Giovanni Vecchione and Juliana Picciuto Timpanaro.
