Domenick R. Grillo, 97, passed away Thursday February, 13, 2014.
Mr. Grillo was a Purchasing Manager for the Flight, Guidance, and Test Systems Division of the Bendix Corporation in Teterboro, NJ for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the United States Army during World War 2 attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received the Purple Heart, American Theatre Ribbon, European-African-Middle eastern Ribbon, and the Victory Medal.
Mr. Grillo was active in local chapters of Catholic Fraternal Organizations. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a Past Grand Commander of the International Order of Alhambra.
He enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading and major league baseball. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Funeral 9 am Monday from Wm. Bradley and Son Funeral Home 345 Main St. Chatham,NJ. Mass 10:30 am Christ the King Church 16 Blue Mill Rd. New Vernon, NJ. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 125 Central Ave. East Orange, NJ. Visitation Sunday 4-8 pm.
Predeceased by his wife Lena (nee Colatrella), and his son Donald Grillo, Domenick leaves behind several children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were fortunate to know, love, and share special times with him.
