Dolores (“Dee”) Madeline Faccenda, nee DeBlis, 82, of Hanover Township passed away peacefully and gracefully at her home in the presence of her loving husband John on September 2, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Millburn, NJ to the late Angelo and Madeline DeBlis on August 21, 1931. Dolores graduated from Millburn High School where she concentrated on developing secretarial and administrative skills which led her to starting her career in this vocation. On October 24, 1954 she married John Faccenda of Morristown and moved to Morristown where they lived on Evergreen Avenue for four years before moving in 1958 to the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover Township. While successfully advancing in her career with positions at Keuffel and Esser and Fireman’s Fund Insurance, Dolores devoted much of her free time to providing a caring and loving household for her family. After retiring from her position at Fireman’s Fund Insurance she enjoyed being a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a sister to her many siblings. In her free time, Dolores enjoyed crocheting, cooking, dancing, traveling to Long Beach Island, Las Vegas, Aruba and Atlantic City, playing the poker machines, watching the New York Giants, listening to music from her childhood days and reading. Most of all, she loved the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren. Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, John; her son Gary and wife MaryLee of Denville and their children, Nicholas, Allison and Tyler; her daughter Madeline Carroll of Hanover Township; her daughter-in-law Francine Faccenda of Boonton and her daughter Jaye Faccenda of Caldwell; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Faccenda of Hackettstown and her children Steven Jr., Tim and Taryn; and many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Dolores is also predeceased by two of her sons, John (“Jay”) Joseph Faccenda, Jr. and Steven John Faccenda, Sr. Dolores grew up in Millburn as part of a large, loving, close knit family with five brothers and five sisters. She’s survived by her brother Ronald DeBlis and sister Mary Trincanello both of Short Hills. Dolores is predeceased by her brothers, John, Dominic, Nick and Mike and her sisters, Phil, Esther, Chintze and Giselle. Dolores’ respectful request for which we are honoring was to not have a viewing or funeral.
