David P. McQuilkin, 79, of Millburn, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Born and raised in Scotland, David came to the United States in 1958, and has lived in Millburn for the last 25 years. He was a member of the Scots American Club in Kearny. David was a construction estimator for McQuilkin Assoc. in Springfield.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11am at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave ., Springfield. Cremation will take place at Somerset Hills Crematory, Basking Ridge. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7pm.
Predeceased by siblings Patrick, Joan and Christine; David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maureen, children David k. and his wife Mary, William A. and his wife Patricia, Annette McQuilkin, and Christine Cassin and her husband Frank; grandchildren Gabrielle, David, Emma, Nicole; sisters Kathleen Mulrenan, Nancy Loughlin, Lily Parkin, Mary Crawford, Isabella Elliot and Dorothea Sheddon; and brothers James and Allan.
