Daniel J. Carella, 88 on February 2, 2012 at his home in Millburn.
He was a life long resident of Millburn. Mr. Carella graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a degree in electrical engineering. He served in the Navy Reserves during WWII. Daniel was a Project Manager in Research and Development for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover for 20 years, retiring in 1972. He is a member of the Old Guard of Millburn, NJIT Alumni Association, Antique Radio Collection’s Association. He collected and restored antique radios, his Ham radio calling line was W2ENV. He also loved gardening and lawn work. Daniel is pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years Anita D. Carella (nee Alberti). He is survived by his children Antoinette M. Carella-Hodukavich and Joseph A. Carella, two grandchildren Lauren Jeanne Carella and Michael A. Hodukavich.
