Graziani-Karabal, Cindy, aged 49, of Summit, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 after a brave four-year struggle with metastatic breast cancer. She was the devoted mother of a beloved daughter, Celine. She also leaves behind her mother, Anne, husband, Semsi, three brothers, Ernest, Dennis, and Richard, and two sisters, Cheryl and Sandy, her twin.
Cindy graduated from Millburn High School in 1982 and began an education and career in Administration. Her lifelong love of nature and animals led her to a passionate advocacy of animal rights and conservation, as well as a lifestyle of environmental awareness. She had a very caring heart and generosity of spirit that moved her to always reach out to anyone in need, oppressed, or treated unfairly. The latest story of injustice or inequality became her cause of the moment. Her favorite relaxation was a game of tennis. But her overriding love and passion was her daughter, Celine: time spent together laughing, talking, singing and dancing, trips to their favorite park or the beach, or just studying; nothing was more important.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave. in Short Hills. There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 5-8pm at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
