Christopher J. D’Ambrosio of Madison, formerly of Chatham, died at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 6, 2012. He was 45. Born in Newark, he was raised in Chatham and moved to Madison nine years ago.
Chris was predeceased by his father, A. Daniel D’Ambrosio and is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Jeanne (Durica), mother, Patricia D’Ambrosio of Chatham, brother, A. Davin D’Ambrosio of Chatham and A. Daniel D’Ambrosio of Irvine, CA and also his dog, Daisy who misses him a lot.
Chris was first and foremost a firefighter. When he turned 18, he became a volunteer firefighter in Chatham and rose to become a Deputy Chief. He later became a full-time paid Firefighter in Chatham and also a fire inspector. A Boy Scout when he was young, Chris knew everyone in town. He was generous and caring, loved shooting and was also a Coordinator for the Morris County Office of Emergency Management before he took ill. His unique sense of humor will be missed by family and friends.
