Christopher “Chris” Byrnes, 26, of East Brunswick, New Jersey passed away on October 28, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Chris has lived most of his life in East Brunswick. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, Chris worked as a counselor at Journey to Wellness in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Prior to that, Chris enjoyed working as a barista in Starbucks. He enjoyed Pokemon, fishing, bowling, rooting for the NY Jets and helping others.

Chris was the beloved son of Annmarie and Cait Agosta and Paul Byrnes. He was the loving brother of Marie Elena Byrnes; and dear grandson of Ursula Pitti Agosta, Salvatore Agosta, Sr., and the late Molly Byrnes. He was the cherished nephew of Jeannette Eilenberg and her husband Mitch and Salvatore Agosta, Jr., and his wife Tina. Chris will also be missed by his cousins Nick, Diana, Sal, Marco and Anthony.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm and again on Thursday from 10am – 1pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue in Union, New Jersey. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:30am at Dergah Al Farah, 245 West Broadway, New York, New York. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Park on Main Street in Spotswood, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Chris may be made to the Hyacinth Foundation, 317 George Street, #203, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
