Charlotte Pasternak

Charlotte E. Pasternak died on March 17, 2013 at King James Care Center. She was born in Jamaica Queens and was raised in Hollis Queens. She lived in Queens Village, NY and Plainfield, NJ before moving to Whippany in 1972.


Charlotte worked at Doubleday Book Club on Long Island. During this time, she sent books to the Servicemen during WWII. Charlotte liked to crochet, writing letters to her family and friends, and watching game shows but most importantly being a doting Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.


Previously deceased is her husband John Pasternak. Beloved mother of Ginny Pasternak, Charlotte Reilly, Joan Quick, and John Pasternak. Grandmother of Kari, Jennifer, Kristin, David, and Katie. Great-Grandmother of Annabelle and Andrew.


She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Bernard’s in Plainfield and parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Whippany since 1972, where a funeral mass will be held at the Chapel on Thursday, March 21 at 10:30am. Friends may call to the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
