~~Charles W. Poole, 88, of Summit, NJ and Vero Beach, FL passed away on November 1st, 2016. Beloved mate of his best friend of 70 years, Kathleen M. (Cronin), and proud father of Brenda (his favorite daughter), David and Steven and their spouses Jim Bercaw, Leigh (Miller) and Kelley (McMillen) and six adoring grandchildren Alexandra, Katherine and Lara and Hunter, Colton and Zachary. Family and friends were everything to Charlie, and he will be sorely missed. Son of the late Robie and Doris Poole, he is also survived by his brother Donald, sister Linda and niece Robin.
Charlie proudly served as a US Marine from 1946 -1948. He graduated cum laude from Boston University in 1952 and was elected a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He moved to NJ where he started his career with NJ Bell retiring as Division Manager in 1988. He was president of the PTA and very involved in Indian Guides. An avid tennis player and bridge enthusiast, Charlie loved summer vacation on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH and winters in Vero Beach, Florida.
