Charles S. Extrom, 86, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center .
Charles was born on October 20, 1932 in Dover, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Lureda (nee Ives) Extrom.
He was a graduate of Roxbury Township High School and entered the United States Army during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany. Charles worked as a Police Officer for the Chatham Township Police Department for 25 years and retired in 1987. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth of 53 years. He was the loving father of Charles J. Extrom and wife Carolyn and Monique B. Belsky and husband Bob and beloved grandfather of Brianna Belsky.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Charlie’s memory be made to the Children’s Specialized Hospital, 150 New Providence Rd, Mountainside, NJ 07092.
