Catherine (Cuddy) Lindblad of Springfield, died peacefully at home on Friday, May 4, 2012, with her daughter, Dorothy, at her side. She was 96 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived in Millburn before moving to Springfield in 2001.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Cannon and second husband Charles Lindblad, her daughter, Barbara Burke, and her six siblings, William Cuddy, Margaret Molitor, Joseph Cuddy, John Cuddy, James Cuddy and Thomas Cuddy. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Linden of Springfield, her grandsons, Kenneth and Andrew Linden, and many nieces and nephews.
Catherine worked for the City of NY Department of Finance for 26 years and retired in 1980. She was a Red Cross volunteer, a member of St. Rose Life Lighter and Friday Friends in Millburn.
Catherine loved crossword puzzles, tai chi, art classes with Sandy, the wonderful art teacher at Sage Spend-A-Day in Summit, and her devoted health aide, Lynn. Catherine had a loving heart, a gentle spirit and a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed.
