Carmela M. Burr, 90, of Union passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017. Born in Montclair, Carmela lived in Bloomfield for 14 years before moving to Union 51 years ago. Prior to raising a family, Carmela worked for Nevins Church Press and First Fidelity Bank. She loved going to the casinos, both in Las Vegas and locally, and playing Bingo with her friends in Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed baking, and was known for baking many different kinds of Christmas cookies and cakes which she shared with so many people.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Angelina Zambri, and her siblings Michael, John, Vito, Columbia and Lucy Zambri, and Concetta and Angelina Gerardi; Carmela is survived by her husband Edward Burr, daughter Brenda Burr and sister Antoinette Rodriguez.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10am at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral Home.
