Barbara Mount

Barbara G. Mount, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and daughters on November 29, 2018.  While Barbara worked for a few years post high school at Chubb & Sons, she dedicated her life to Vincent, her husband of 62 years, and raising and caring for her three daughters, and their many beloved family pets, especially Nicky.  Barbara selflessly supported all of her children’s many school, musical and scouting activities, as well as those events that centered around her grandchildren.   In order to be close to her children, she was a library volunteer at the Kings Road School.  After her children were grown, she volunteered for many of the programs within the Madison Thursday Morning Club, including baking her famous cranberry bread and cheesecake and supporting the Dress for Success Program. She enjoyed traveling with Vincent to her favorite spot in Bermuda, as well as Hawaii and many other international sites.  She loved cooking and knitting for her family, with each item being crafted with love and being deeply treasured by each family member. The love she put into her knitting is a continuing reminder of her love for all of us.  

Barbara is predeceased by her parents and her beloved brother, Bruce and his wife, Barbara. She is survived by her husband, Vincent, and her daughters, Debbie and her husband Frank, Karen, and Nancy and her husband Sam. Barbara is also survived and loved by her grandchildren, Christina and her husband, Rob, Frankie, Zack and Sarah and her nieces and nephews, Steven, Stacey, Melissa, Doug and Patty.
