~~Barbara Ellen Gee, of Morristown, formerly of Chatham, passed away on February 19, 2018. Born in Peoria, Illinois and raised in Cedar Knolls, Barbara graduated from Hanover Park High School in 1968 and went on to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Barbara was a lead performer for the Chatham Players as well as many other theaters for over 20 years. She was the requested soloist at weddings and funerals at St. Patrick’s Church in Chatham.
While raising her family, Barbara also served as a scout leader, assisted with the PTO, and did fundraising for Berkeley Aquatics Club. For over ten years, Barbara did concierge and marketing work for Juniper Village in Chatham where she touched the lives of so many. Her vivacious personality and compassion for others made her a friend to everyone with whom she crossed paths.
Predeceased by her beloved parents, Ellen and Arthur Gee; Barbara is survived by her devoted children, Katie Casey Napolitano and her husband Paul, Rebecca Gee Casey; Meghan Barbara Casey, and Henry Francis Casey and his wife Amy; grandchildren Michael, Mabel, Oliver, Ayla and Charlotte; and her brothers Teddy and David Gee.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10am at the Wm A Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 9am until the service begins at 10am. Interment will be private.
