Barbara A. Adorna

Barbara A. Adorna, 72, of Maplewood, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her home.

Barbara was born on May 20, 1945 in Santa Barbara, CA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas and Marion (nee Hopfensperger) Bellarosa from Irvington, N.J.

She was a 1963 graduate of Irvington High School. She moved to Maplewood in 1970, where she resided and raised her daughter, Debra Newsome Shaw. She worked as an Office Manager for William H. Yeomans, Inc., General Contractors, for many years. Barbara retired in 1994 to spend time with her cherished grandchildren. Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time outdoors.

She is survived by her beloved husband James P. Adorna, Sr., her daughter, Debra Shaw and husband William. She was the beloved grandma to Jennifer, Kimberly, Mallory, William and Keri Shaw. In addition, she is survived by her siblings; Louise Lahr (Don), Nicholas Bellarosa, Sr. (Maria), and her devoted caregivers, Wiola and Irma.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union, NJ 07083. A prayer service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the funeral home. An entombment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ.
